A Light for My Path–Praying the Psalms on the Way of the Cross
March 30, Good Friday
3:00 p.m. in the Historic Church
My spirit is faint, my heart despairs, I stretch out my hands to you. (Based on Psalm 143:4, 6a)
You are invited to deepen your reflection on Jesus’ Way of the Cross this Good Friday by using the same prayers he used in his life, the Book of Psalms. Offer yourself the opportunity to meditate on the Stations of the Cross in a different way. The prayer service begins with the tolling of the church bells and will journey through the traditional fourteen Stations of the Cross while offering the opportunity for personal reflection, examination of conscience, and the communal singing of the psalms.
