St. Victoria Parish Family (Victoria, MN) – a fast-growing, dynamic, suburban Catholic parish of nearly 1,500 families – is seeking a highly-motivated, energetic and enthusiastic applicant to serve as its Maintenance Supervisor. This position is full-time (40+ hours/week) with benefits. The St. Victoria campus consists of the Historic Church structure (ca. 1870), the adjoining New Church structure (ca 2005) and the integrated and refurbished Parish Hall (ca. 1970s), together with an adjacent Rectory, parking lot, cemetery and adjoining grounds.
The Maintenance Supervisor position at St. Victoria serves to support the many ministries within the parish, so that the name of Jesus may be known and loved, by ensuring that the church campus and exterior grounds are kept clean (including deep cleaning), well maintained, and in a good state of repair. The position also is responsible for selecting and overseeing contractors (and some volunteers) who provide work and services pertaining to building and campus cleaning, maintenance and repair.
The successful candidate will have two (2) or more years of demonstrated relevant experience in the field of cleaning and maintenance generally (ideally in a parish setting), possess or be able to immediately obtain the necessary boiler license(s) pertinent to the HVAC system, be sufficiently adept at computer and electronic control system concepts so as to be able to program the HVAC system settings, schedule parking lot lights and utilize basic office communications software and equipment. The successful candidate also will have basic maintenance and cleaning skills/capability, including minor carpentry and limited painting. The successful candidate will need to be able to pass a post-offer, pre-employment physical with lift assessment. Additionally, the ideal candidate will have demonstrated passion for people, work well in collaboration with other staff, possess excellent references, utilize good organizational skills, and have a conscientious regard for deadlines.
