Prompt: Who have been the people in your life who have inspired you to a better life and have helped you grow deeper in your faith?
Lead in: In I Samuel, as Samuel sleeps God keeps calling out to him. But young Samuel is clueless that it’s God calling and goes back to sleep.
Prompt: When have you been clueless to God’s call and instead of responding, have gone back to “sleep”?
Prompt: If God finally got through to you, how did that happen?
Lead in: I Samuel tells us that “God revealed his presence” to Samuel.
Prompt: Reflect on a time when God revealed His presence to you.
Lead in: When Samuel finally realized it was God who was calling him, he said, “Speak Lord, your servant is listening.”
Prompt: If you were to let go of what you want and really listen to what God wants, where in your life would you find that hard to do?
